$1bn Te Awa Lakes Development takes another step forward

Agreements have been made with Affco and Fonterra who were previously appealing to council over the planned development. With these two parties now placated the developer Perry Group will apply for resource consent with a view to breaking ground mid-2021.

The Te Awa Lakes development will create 860 medium-density homes on a 62ha site to the north of Hamilton. The project’s website says that it will “transform this northern gateway into a vibrant community hub and tourism destination through a mix of high quality medium density residential housing, river links, tourism activities and adventure park.

We can take part of the development as responsible residents by throwing our waste in proper place. Also segregating it would help our skip bin team in disposing such waste. Change start from ourselves, we believe in that. Regards!
